- There is loose grouping players in training sessions to reflect the diversity of skills. Age is only a guiding factor as the size of player becomes significant at some point.
Under 12 generally play mini-polo, a smaller most basic game than water polo itself.
Under 14 more on from mini-polo with more adherence to standard game rules. Players are encouraged to join scottish academy training and onwards to the Scottish squad.
Under 16 play standard water and are encouraged to train and compete in the Scottish squad.
Under 18 play standard water and are encouraged to train and compete in the Scottish squad.
Seniors are a new development to the club with players from Stirling University and other backgrounds.
The squads for competitions are selected according to ages, currently U14, U16 and U18.
